Titanium Weldneck Flanges consist mainly of titanium alloys with Grade 2 (UNS R50400) consisting of at least 99.2% titanium and Grade 5 (UNS R56400) being 90% titanium with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. Grade 2 flanges can also have limited quantities of carbon, iron, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. These compositions provide outstanding corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and excellent weldability, which make them ideal for challenging applications in diverse industries.

They are utilized in fuel systems and jet engines in the aerospace industry where strength and resistance to corrosion are of top priority. These flanges are used in the marine industry for shipbuilding and offshore platforms, taking advantage of their resistance to corrosion from seawater. In chemical processing, they are employed in piping systems that operate with hostile chemicals. Power generation industries such as geothermal and nuclear use titanium flanges for those parts subjected to high temperatures and pressures. Their lightweight and resistant properties also make them ideal for medical uses, minimizing fatigue and wear in implants.
