Titanium Plate Flanges contain mainly titanium alloys, and Grade 2 (UNS R50400) has at least 99.2% titanium and Grade 5 (UNS R56400) has 90% titanium with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. Grade 2 flanges contain minute amounts of carbon, iron, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. These materials convey superior corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and good weldability, placing them in positions for extreme applications in numerous industries. Grade 2 flanges have a tensile strength of 344 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa, whereas Grade 5 flanges have a tensile strength of 950 MPa and a yield strength of 880 MPa.
