Titanium Forged Flanges consist mainly of titanium alloys, of which Grade 2 (UNS R50400) has at least 99.2% of titanium and Grade 5 (UNS R56400) contains 90% titanium with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. Grade 2 flanges can also have traces of carbon, iron, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. These compositions provide superior corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and good weldability, making them ideal for high-performance uses in different industries. Grade 2 flanges have a tensile strength of 344 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa, while Grade 5 flanges have a tensile strength of 950 MPa and a yield strength of 880 MPa.
