Super Duplex Steel Flanges are made up of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), molybdenum (3–5%), and nitrogen, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This unique alloy provides outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. In terms of mechanical properties, these flanges boast a high tensile strength of about 750 MPa and a yield strength of 550 MPa. They also maintain excellent ductility and toughness, even in freezing temperatures, making them perfect for tough environments. Their dual-phase microstructure, consisting of austenite and ferrite, significantly boosts strength and stress corrosion resistance compared to standard duplex or stainless steel grades.
