904L Stainless Steel Flanges consist mainly of iron, with major alloying elements being 19–23% chromium, 23–28% nickel, 4–5% molybdenum, and 1–2% copper. The presence of low carbon (≤0.02%) content improves weldability and minimizes carbide precipitation during welding. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of around 490 MPa, yield strength of around 220 MPa, and an elongation of 35%, which combines strength with ductility for applications in several industries. These qualities provide strength and stress-resistant deformation.
