Monel Threaded Flanges are made of mostly nickel (63–70%) and copper (28–34%) with minor amounts of iron (≤2.5%), manganese (≤2%), silicon (≤0.5%), carbon (≤0.3%), and sulfur (≤0.024%). The aforementioned composition provides excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in marine and acidic conditions. Mechanical properties comprise a tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of about 170 MPa, and elongation of 35%, delivering both strength and ductility that can be beneficial for most industrial uses.
