Alloy 20 Lap Joint Flanges are primarily composed of nickel (32–38%), chromium (19–21%), iron, with additions of copper (3–4%) and molybdenum (2–3%). Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking caused by sulphuric acid and chloride is offered by this composition. Mechanically, Alloy 20 has a yield strength of about 241 MPa, a tensile strength of about 551 MPa, and an elongation of about 30%.
