A nickel-iron-chromium alloy comprising nickel (32–38%), chromium (19–21%), molybdenum (2–3%), copper (3–4%), carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulphur is used to make Alloy 20 Forged Flanges. This alloy exhibits exceptional resistance to pitting, sulphuric acid, and chloride stress corrosion cracking. In terms of mechanical properties, Alloy 20 has a tensile strength of roughly 551 MPa, a yield strength of 241 MPa, and an elongation of about 30%. These flanges are ideal for high-stress, high-pressure, and corrosive industrial settings because the forging process improves grain structure, which increases mechanical strength, fatigue resistance, and durability.
