Nickel (32–38%), iron, chromium (19–21%), molybdenum (2–3%), and copper (3–4%) make up the majority of Alloy 20 Flanges, with trace amounts of niobium added to avoid sensitisation. Outstanding resistance to sulphuric acid, chloride stress corrosion, cracking, and pitting is provided by this special alloy composition. Mechanical characteristics include an elongation of roughly 30–35%, a yield strength of about 241 MPa, and a tensile strength of 551–758 MPa. Alloy 20 flanges are appropriate for harsh environments with acidic and chloride-bearing media because of their mechanical durability and resistance to corrosion.
